Sausage, Cabbage, And Apple Skillet

2 lb - bulk sausage (Jimmy Deans Maple flavor is real good for this)
2 heads - Green Cabbage, chopped coarse
2 lbs - Favorite apples, sliced or chopped cores
1 lb - sliced Potatoes (Optional)
Salt and Pepper

Crumble and brown sausage in large skillet,allow to cook.Add potatoes if using and cook until soft Add Cabbage and cook until cabbage wilts then add apples and salt and pepper. Cook until apple and cabbage is done.
(note) If not using a maple flavored sausage you may want to add either Maple Syrup or brown sugar to skillet for added flavor.  Serve hot with good bread or hot biscuits.
